Comprehensive Coordinated Care for Good Breast Health

Our multidisciplinary team of surgeons, oncologists (doctors specializing in cancer), radiologists, pathologists (doctors who specialize in microscopic examination of body cells for diagnosis), rehabilitation therapists, social workers, nurses and support staff meet weekly to discuss and make recommendations for ongoing evaluation and treatment of our patients’ breast problems. This means that you will receive coordinated, state-of-the-art care with the least possible delay.

Personalized care is provided as part of a comprehensive range of support services tailored to meet your individual needs. Our staff helps navigate you through any of the following services or programs:

  • Mammography. Early diagnosis is the key to successful treatment of breast cancer. Regular mammograms, based on your doctor’s advice, can help us detect the disease in its most treatable stage.
  • Stereotactic core needle breast biopsy (a procedure in which a needle is used to collect cells from a suspicious area, leaving no scar)
  • Sentinel node biopsy, a procedure that can help many patients avoid unnecessary lymph node removal.
  • Surgical treatments, including lumpectomy (removal of the lump) and mastectomy (removal of the breast).
  • Radiation therapy.
  • Chemotherapy (drug treatments).
  • Hormone therapy (Tamoxifen, etc.).
  • Rehabilitation services, including assessment before and after surgery and treatment of lymphedema (swelling of the arm).
  • Integrated therapies, including wig fittings, bra and prosthetic fittings, nutritional counseling and massage therapy.
  • One-on-one education and counseling with nurses and social workers.
  • Support groups focusing on coping techniques for you, your family and your children.
  • Genetic risk assessment.
  • Clinical trials.
  • Corporate and professional seminars.
