The only Burn Center in the State of Connecticut is the Dr. Andrew and Henrietta Panettieri Burn Center at Bridgeport Hospital. In fact, it reaches the highest standards in accordance with the American Burn Association and the American College of Surgeons and is one of the only 44 verified Burn Centers in the United States. In 2006, the Burn Center treated nearly 300 inpatients and, in conjunction with the Wound Healing Center of Fairfield County, had over 1,000 outpatients for burn and scar management.
