Nursing & Case Management

Our exceptional Oncology nurses and Clinical Nurse Specialist have comprehensive training in Oncology nursing and chemotherapy administration. But that's only part of their story. They know good caring extends beyond medical treatments. That is why they remember patients' birthdays and anniversaries, or take the time to honor special requests.

Oncology nurses work closely with all members of the multi-disciplinary team, which includes social workers, pharmacists, oncology dietitians, chaplains, physical and occupational therapists, a hospice team, quality review coordinators, and a corps of dedicated volunteers.

Case Management

Bridgeport Hospital continually searches for ways to improve patient care, and our Case Management Program is doing just that. A case management specialist organizes all aspects of your care, from the smallest details like coordinating tests, to major decisions like assessing what help may be needed when you leave the hospital. A recent survey of our patients showed that 91 percent were very satisfied with their care.
