At The Chest Pain Center at Bridgeport Hospital patients are seen immediately by specially trained experts, around-the-clock every day of the year, and life-saving treatment can be started within moments of arrival. The Chest Pain Center is a collaborative effort between the Emergency and Cardiology.

Sophisticated diagnostic equipment shows whether you are actually having a heart attack. If so, special drugs or angioplasty, or stent procedures might be used to eliminate blockages or blood clots.

The first of its kind in New England, The Chest Pain Center at Bridgeport Hospital has been recognized as an "Early Cardiac Care Center" by the National Association of Chest Pain Emergency Rooms for its efforts to promptly diagnose and treat heart attacks.
