Our Playrooms

A bright spot for a younger hospitalized child is our brand new circular playroom, complete with games, toys, puzzles, crayons, and books. Videos are shown daily, and a selection of video games is available.

The playroom is supervised by a child-life therapist. Children who need to spend time in the hospital often have special worries and concerns, and our child-life therapist can help them to express and cope with these emotions.

For older children, there's a separate lounge with videos and games for teenagers.

At Bridgeport Hospital we know there's more to caring for a child than providing the best of care for little bodies. We believe in caring for little feelings and spirits too.
